This spaghetti sauce combines ground beef with mild and hot Italian sausage meat. Carrots, celery and onions join a tomato and beef broth base flavored with oregano, bay and cloves.

Reduce for three hours

Brown the meat in two batches before cooking the vegetables in the same pot. Simmer the sauce for three hours, stirring regularly until thickened. The quantities make about twelve servings.
